She climbed in, offering her hand to him to help him in. "Need some help?"

He gave a slight grin. "Very much so." Grabbing her hand, he made a jump, or at least was intended as such. While in fact he barely came off the ground.

She pulled him up, as much as her physique would allow her to.

He managed to catch the ledge of the cockpit, pulling himself up. As much as his body burned in pain, he had gone through worse in training. He was trained to ignore pain. Which also is a bad thing, considering he'll ever know when to stop. Pulling himself into the cockpit, he noticed the pilot sitting in the chair, numb. He checked the man's pulse. "This guy's still alive, we're lucky. At least I'm not the only survivor." He checked the controls, still seeming intact. "Can give power to these consoles whenever you are ready."

She nodded, going to the main battery, where she'd created a bypass so she could power the systems with her power. "R-ready..." She grabbed the wires, and started sending electricity through them, making various systems turn on.

He looked as the targeting system turned on, then the GPS, followed by the communications array. "Got it on, I'll send through a message." It took a while before he got through to his Commander. He requested a Gunship with some troops, to clean up and pick up the remaining survivors. "They're here in a good 25 minutes."

She nodded, still sending power. "O-okay..." She sighed in relief. He'd have someone coming for him...someone he knew...'friends'. She'd have to walk back home though...not much of a home to go home to, in her case. Just her laptop to greet her when she opened the door...

He fastened a cable, then slowly came down to the ground, with the pilot over his back. As his feet touched ground, he fell back, the pilot falling along. "Well, I'm sure they'll appreciate your work on the Gunship, though I doubt they'll be able to salvage her."

She climbed out behind him, breathing a little heavier. "Y-yeah..." She leaned against the hull. "...she's tough...you know? She wants to fly again so...I know she can be saved..." She looked at him, seeing a new figure next to him.

"You really seem to like this piece of technology, don't you?" He turned around, taking the armor off the pilot, checking for wounds.

"Not just this...I love all technology...I hate seeing something broken...so I fix it and give it new life..." She relaxed, sitting on the ground where she stood.

"I understand. I'm sure you'd be a perfect fir in our Battalion, as Engineer. Probably would fit in with the troops perfectly, too." The pilot seemed to only have a few bruises. Odessa got a medkit and treated the pilot for what he could do.

She blushed. She never really fit in anywhere...not with her being 'different' than others... "Y-you don't mean that...do you? I've never really belonged anywhere..."

He looked at her over his shoulder. "You're special. And you have some good quality skills over there. Plus the fact that you help people in need. Yeah, I'm quite serious when I say you'd be a great addition. Maybe as Engineer Medic. That and you're kinda cute. Especially with those blushes of yours." He checked back on the pilot, checking his pulse again, making sure he'd stay with them.

She went redder. Praise. No one really praised her for anything. "Th-thank you..." She looked in the direction of home. She needed to get back, or father would worry about her. Like he was ever there anyway.

He put the armor back onto the pilot. "He'll be fine, just got to get him to an infirmary asap." He then got up and walked over to Dionaea, kneeling next to her. He got her hand and put a yellow badge in it, at the form of an eagle. "This is the badge our Battalion carries. You've helped us out a lot here today. I want you to have it, as a memory and a reminder, that you always have to do what you believe in, and you never are alone."

He messed her hair a bit, then walked back to the pilot, sitting down next to him, keeping his attention at the man, making sure he would be around if he'd start to go into shock or anything of the sort, then looked up, searching. "The hell did I leave my helmet at?"

She pointed in the distance, not far behind the man. "There." She got up. "I guess this is farewell for now...right?"

"Doesn't have to be. I can request to take my own break, and help you out with your work. Or you can request to come along with that Gunship that's coming in, what." He checked up on the time. "17 minutes."

"Miss, we have a Gunship coming to pick nus up. I'm sure we can do a run to your house with it. And I have no issue with staying around for a bit."

She blushed. A man...in her home...with her? Father sure wouldn't allow that...not with her history of hurting people...she doubted he would let her have someone of her own.

He got his helmet, and planted it next to him. "You sure look nice with that blush on the cheeks. Makes you feel comfortable. Not like it's an awkward silence or something, or an empty space with nothing to say. So tell me, what do you do usually, for a living?"
