"I know nothing of reasons. Its simple for a man like me. You do what you're told. No if, no but, no why. When we fail to do so, we'll just die. That's sorta the simplicity of a soldier. I'm afraid I can't help you much on that, but the best thing I can do is give the one bit of advice. When alone, find people who care, and who want to help you, and not use you for their own cause. I've learned that obedience is once thing, but it can be used against you as well."

"I've learned that now...but it's a bit too late..." She looked down at the ground. "...and I've been alone since childhood...and my parents weren't exactly the caring type...all they cared about was keeping me away from everyone so I wouldn't hurt anyone." She sighed.

"I know my fair share of solitude. But can't let that get you down. That's just giving in on things. If you feel yourself standing alone, look around you and gather friends and people. We are trained for those things as well. Makes you know you never stand alone. Thats a killer thought, and sends most people into ruin."

"I guess..." She snapped her fingers idly, making sparks emit from her hand. She thought of that machine thing she found in the ruins...and the woman...were they considered her 'friends'?

She blushed. No one was supposed to know about her power...yet she blatantly revealed it by accident. "Wh-what trick?" She snapped her fingers again, this time no sparks came out. She hoped he'd tack it up to an illusion...

She didn't know whether or not to keep up the lie...or to tell the truth. This was at the heart of her other struggle as well...she snapped her fingers again, creating another spark. "S-sorry...n-no one...is supposed to know about this...I-I lied a little..."

He placed his good hand on her shoulder. "Then keep it a secret for them, if you wish to keep it a secret. I have not seen anything."

"B-but you have...I don't want to lie..." She created a small orb in her hand, illuminating the darkening area around them. She let it vanish after some time, to conserve energy.

"M-my home is in the city...it's quite a ways from here..." She looked towards the direction of the city...she'd walked all this way?

"That's quite the way. I would offer you a ride, but. This baby ain't gonna fly a single meter anymore. I'll have to signal my Commander, too. To pick these guys up. But I got nothing to contact anyone with. Nothing that works, at least. Guess we'll be walking. Gonna be a long one."

She looked at the transport. She got up, walking over to it. Electricity played over the surface as she ran a hand over the hull. Maybe she could repair some of its systems...

"She's had her best time, miss. Now, all she can do is pollute the area and look like naught but a sad memory of what she once did for us." He got up, difficult as it may be and walked over to the dead guy who had tried to drag him away before.

She shook her head. "No...she can still be healed..." She climbed in. Some of the controls were busted up. "...I'll..." Kneeling down, she took some wires, and started tinkering around, getting the comm systems up again. She then proceeded to search around for more stuff to repair, her technical side getting the best of her curiosity at such an old vehicle.

"The Launchers blew, the tank blew. One of the wings is lying over there." He pointed at the debris a couple yards from them. "It's a lost case, unfortunately."

She paid no attention to him. She was going around fixing what she could. Even if this baby could not fly...it could still be made better than she was...

He shook his head, leaving her to whatever she was doing. Lying down on his back, he now started to feel the pain of the wounds and especially the bruises of the crash.

After what seemed like ages, she crawled out of a side compartment, covered in soot. "I-I did what I could...she's better now..."

He pointed at the missing wing and the scorched metal plates, for as far as they were still there to be scorched. "Got any solutions for those as well? If not, I doubt it's going anywhere."

She shook her head. "No...but I fixed the communications station and some other stuff...the battery won't work...so..." She looked down at her hand, playing electricity between her fingers.

"Human battery? Can't say I've heard of it before, but if it works, it works. I won't complain." He managed to get up, painful as it was, stressing his muscles. "Think you got enough to get through to Colchis Sector?"

"I don't know...it depends on the specs of your ship here...I can probably power it to its max range..." She looked back inside the ship, as if the answer to her question would be inside.

"Older Gunship. Does what it should do. Well. Did, rather than does. But still." He managed to get to the head of the gunship. "Now this is gonna be a challenge. I gotta get up there."
