Getting Lost

Julia wondered through a semi-deserted city street, feeling hungry. "I came all this way from home and I forgot to bring money. I don't even know where I am right now." She looked around to try and find some information.

Stella had left Illyria to search for the group that Holo told her about, and ended up in a city in Umbria she was walking the streets her clothes a bit tattered from her journey and she looked tired, she stopped and rest against the side of a building and closing her eyes. "I wish Holo would have come with me."

Julia tried to ask a few people for directions but they ignored her. She saw a girl with pointed ears and tattered clothes and was slightly afraid as she could sense they weren't human. However she was the only other person that Julia hadn't talked to so she swallowed her fears.
"E-excuse me miss. Could you help me with directions?"

She opened her eyes and looked at the girl. "I'm new to this town, but I can try."

She let out a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry to bother you like this, but I got lost and ended up here. If you know the way to a church or embassy that would be helpful."

She pushed off the wall and then sniffed the air a bit. "I think there's a church this way." She then started walking east slowly so that the girl could keep up.

Julia followed after her and caught up to follow her pace. "Thank you for guiding me. I am Julia. May I inquire your name?"

She looked down. "I think it's Stella." She went silent and kept walking looking around for a church.

She became slightly startled at the response and decided not to ask any more questions. Soon they saw a building that appeared to be a church. Julia thanked Stella and ran up to the church and knocked on the door. However there was no answer.

She walked up to the door and pulled on it finding it was locked. "Hmm..." She then looked around before crouching and sticking her claw into the lock before breaking the lock and opening the door. "There."

Julia was sure breaking into a church was a bad idea, but she was unsure why churches would need to be locked so she slowly walked into the church.
"Hello? I've come to ask for directions and possibly shelter. Is there someone here I can speak to?"

There was no response.

She walked in and closed the door behind herself before sniffing the air and looking around. "Odd.."

"It doesn't seem like there's anyone here. Maybe its closed?" Julia walked in a little farther, finding a lightswitch. The place was rather clean. There were 2 rows of pews and a large altar. There was what seemed to be a small study off to the side. There was a fresh loaf of bread and a cup of wine on the altar, as if they had recently prepared for a ceremony.

She walked over to the bread and looked around before grabbing it and the wine. "It's strange that no one is here. Not even a priest."

"Perhaps they are going to worship soon and the priest got a call from mother nature?" Julia walked over to the study. "I'd at least like to see if there is a map so I can tell where I am."

"You're in a church in Umbria" She said sarcastically.

"Yes, I know that much." Julia looked around the study, slightly annoyed.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door as someone walked in. A young girl dressed as a nun walked down the aisle and stopped in the center of the church, looking at the 2 intruders.
"Hello lost little lambs. How may the divine light guide you today?"

She quickly hid the wine and bread behind her back. "I'm just helping this girl while looking for a group that's like me."

Julia sensed that the girl was not human but did not sense any malicious intent.
"I was hoping the church could provide shelter while I am in this city. I'm sorry we entered without permission."

The girl looked suspiciously at the both of them. "Very well, you may stay here as you like. It's very peaceful here. No one in this city believes in the church anymore." With a look of sadness the girl walked over to a small statue where she kneel down in prayer.

She walked towards the nun slowly and put the bread and wine back on the altar as she neared. "How did you get near us earlier without me hearing you?"

The nun smiled as she looked up at Stella. "I don't weigh much. I partake only of the meals of the sacrament. And I believe you said you were looking for someone?"

She shook her head. "I still would have heard you." She then tilt her head. "And I am yes but it's getting late I"ll find them tomorrow."

"The both of you are welcome to spend the night here. There are some rooms downstairs. And you're welcome to have some of the bread and wine if you'd like."

Julia remembered how hungry she was and kindly accepted the offer of the bread.

She kept watching that sister or nun as far a she could tell but walked over to the bread and grabbed a piece taking a bite.

After she finished praying she opened the door to the stairwell. "I will prepare a room for the two of you. Please feel free to look around or pray, the room will be ready shortly. She bowed and walked down the stairs.

Julia watched to make sure the girl had gone and took out a glass vial and filled it with some holy water that was near the altar, putting it in her pocket.
